BaZi Calculator
Date, time and birthplace in — your Four Pillars chart out, with the true-solar-time correction shown step by step.
This free BaZi calculator resolves your birthplace's historical timezone, longitude and date-specific equation of time before setting the four pillars, then shows the correction it used.

The math appears as you type
Traditional chart calculations use this field as part of the calculation basis. It does not define the person’s identity.
Awaiting your birth details
HOUR BRANCH SHIFTED · CHOU → ZI — clock time and solar time fall in different branches; the corrected one is used.
How to read your BaZi chart
Your chart has four pillars — year, month, day and hour — each a stem-and-branch pair. The day stem is your Day Master, the reference point for everything else: the Ten Gods, the five-element balance, and your luck pillars.
What appears before any interpretation
The calculator first exposes the raw calculation layer:
- recorded civil date, time and birthplace;
- historical timezone and daylight-saving state;
- longitude and equation-of-time corrections;
- corrected solar time and any crossed hour boundary;
- four raw pillars, hidden stems and Ten Gods;
- an explicit downgrade when the birth time is unknown.
Only then does the reading layer organize calculated facts into plain-language tendencies.
A boundary case you can reproduce
Toronto at 12:00 civil time on 20 July 2026 resolves to approximately 10:35:59 true solar time at the city-center coordinates. The clock reading sits in the Wu (Horse) hour; the corrected reading sits in the preceding Si (Snake) hour.
Use the calculator-disagreement checklist to compare two results one layer at a time rather than comparing interpretations first.
What this calculator shows
Every chart comes with a calculation trace: the historical timezone at your birth, the longitude correction for your birthplace, the equation-of-time adjustment, and the resulting true solar time actually used for your hour pillar. If your birth sits near an hour or solar-term boundary, we say so.
If you want to inspect the astronomy first, use the standalone true solar time calculator and worked formula.
After the chart is calculated, the free reading summary explains the pattern in plain language. See how the AI BaZi reading is constrained by calculated facts, documented rules and source traces, or inspect a complete sample BaZi report before creating your own.

Frequently asked
Yes. The full chart, the true-solar-time breakdown and a reading summary are free. The complete section-by-section report is a one-time purchase.
Most calculators use clock time. We correct to true solar time — timezone history, longitude and the equation of time — which can shift the hour pillar.
You can mark the time as unknown. The chart is computed with an explicit downgrade note instead of silently guessing.
